• Effect: Can alters the natural pigment of the hair, providing a more dramatic change. It can be used for significant colour changes or to cover greys completely.

Demi-Permanent Color : 

• Formulation: Contains no ammonia and is mixed with a low-volume developer to open the hair cuticle slightly.

• Longevity: Semi-permanent colour lasts around 20-28 washes. The colour may gradually fades over time but WITHOUT a harsh regrowth line. 

• Coverage: Blends and enhances natural hair colour. Demi permanent colour provides good grey blending but not complete grey coverage; it can darken or add tone but can't lighten the hair.

• Effect: Demi-permanent colour deposits colour onto the hair, enhancing the natural colour or adding tone. It's ideal for refreshing colour, adding depth, or experimenting with a new shade without a long-term commitment.

Gloss/Toner

• Formulation: Typically a semi-permanent or demi-permanent colour mixed with a low-volume developer or a direct dye. Contains no ammonia.

• Longevity: Short-term, lasts about 6-12 washes. It gradually fades out.

• Coverage: Used to adjust or enhance the tone of the hair rather than provide full coverage. It’s excellent for neutralising unwanted tones (like brassiness) or adding shine.

• Effect: Glosses and toners are used to refine the hair colour, add shine, and improve the overall appearance. They can refresh faded colour, add subtle tones, or correct colour after bleaching.

The first thing you should do is, use a colour safe shampoo and conditioner. Opt for sulphate formulas, specifically designed for colour-treated hair to prevent colour fading and dryness. 

For better results, add a pigmented leave-in conditioner or hair mask to your haircare routine to maintain the vibrancy of your hair colour. Additionally, consider having a toner or gloss between your appointments.

You should wash your hair two to three times a week, as excessive washing can fade hair colour and dry your hair out.. Absolutely! The heat from styling tools can damage your colour-treated hair. Always apply a heat protectant before using a blow dryer, straightener, or curling iron. Evo Icon Welder provides protection from UV and heat damage.

Sun exposure can dull and damage your colour-treated hair. Wear a hat or cap when spending extended periods in the sun, and apply a UV hair-protectant spray. Touch-ups depend on how fast your hair grows and the desired level of contrast. Generally, a root application needs to be retouched very 4 to 6 weeks, a balayage or seamless blonde should be retouched every 8 to12 weeks.

• Use lukewarm or cool water to wash your hair, as hot water can open up the hair cuticle and promote colour fading.
